2011 A bilingual website for a non-profit organization dedicated to the study, preservation and promotion of the Russian language, Russian folk culture and art. Owned by an extraordinary collective of people: vastly knowledgeable, compassionate, lighthearted. Working with them was a gift.
The Story Laboratory
2007-2009, 2011 Dossier for science communications, e-learning, and curriculum creation company in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Seventh Farm
2008-present Built and maintained for a horse ridding school in River Falls, Minnesota. The school is run by two incredibly hardworking, dedicated people with a profound love and understanding for what they do. They have helped and inspired me in regard to my own business more than they know.
Big Sky Homeopathy
2010 Profile for a homeopath and qigong practitioner in Northfield, Minnesota.
Web Design Porfolio
2005–present Is the website you are currently viewing. It was concieved 6 years ago (under several domain names, missirina.com being one), but truly took form in 2008. It serves as an archive for all my published designs and a portal to all the work currently online.
Commercial Graphics and Animations
2009 A showcase for commercial stand-alone graphics and animations made mostly while contracting for Digital River.
Game of the Year
2006 A redesign of Game Zone’s Game of the Year microsite. Its purpose was to feature games annually elected by its visitors.
Bright New Ideas
2006 Built for Bright New Ideas, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing “environmentally friendly energy solutions to the people in our world who need it most.”
Art History
2002-2004 An extensive set of online study guides made for the College of Visual Arts’ Art History class. I worked on them on and off for two of the years while attending the said school.
Illustration Portfolio
2005-present My beloved art archive. Active since 2005 and very frequently updated. It’s like my flesh and blood (in a good way).
Homemade Gift Cards
2007-2010 A display of all the gift cards and other goods I’ve handcrafted over the years. Most of the cards are no longer in my possession, so the website doubles as a memorial.
Sentimental Outpouring
2007-2008 A series of literary snippets and illustrations (intentionally sans uniform design), made in partnership with my friend Stephanie.
Ryuu no Shounen
2003-2011 The title translates to “dragon boy” from Japanese. This is an age-old shrine to one of the main characters from the anime Spirited Away.
G.W. Densetsu
2001-2010 An interactive archive for over 200 writers and artists; hosted, designed and managed for 9 years. You’ve read that correctly: 9 years. Insane amount labor for one person. Based on its size and neediness, I think it’s fair to compare its maintenance to raising a child.
Kumaguro’s AMVs
2003-2005 Designed, hosted, and maintained to support my friend Carly’s mad genius: her anime music videos. Those of you wondering about Carly’s current whereabouts: sorry, I have no idea.
