about

workspace The person who keeps making all this randomness is a compulsive sap who insists on constructing gift cards (and other stuff, on occasion) rather than dishing out dough for generic duplicates.

The genesis of said cards goes something like this: first comes colored paper and poster board, then comes either personal photos and/or scraps from tea bags, envelopes, etcetera, with pre-printed words and imagery. Some cards are sewn and some feature doodles reproduced on glossy cardstock (like the cats).

All cards, with the exception of those that say “sample”, were given to family, friends, employers and are currently in homes (or trash bins) all over the US and Russia.

Plushy bunny was cut out of an old t-shirt and stuffed with cotton. Kitty bag was made from a pant leg and scrapped bed sheets. Kitty t-shirt was modified from a worn men’s t-shirt and decorated with spare cloth and expressive stitching. The daily planner is just like the cards. The shrine wheels were made of sewing hoops, various natural beads and threads.
